FUDA recently installed an 8T6D filling machine at a down jacket manufacturing facility in China. The customer primarily works with down and ball fiber, also known as cluster fiber.
For this season’s orders, the factory is using bonded-channel garment fabrics with many compartments requiring small filling doses. Accurate filling is therefore a key production requirement.

Small-Doses Filling for Bonded-Channel
The customer’s bonded-channel designs require filling to be distributed across multiple compartments, many with small target weights. This makes the weight assigned to each compartment an important part of preparing a garment for production.
The customer identified filling accuracy as a key requirement. The installation and training therefore focused on scale calibration, target-weight settings and machine parameter adjustment for the production tasks at hand
On-Site Setup and Training
Technical training accompanied the installation to help the customer’s team understand the machine’s setup and adjustment procedures. The training covered three practical areas:
- Scale calibration: How to calibrate the weighing system.
- Filling-weight settings: How to enter target weights for the garment compartments being filled.
- Parameter adjustment: How to adjust operating settings for the filling task.
The customer’s production involves both down and ball fiber. For manufacturers handling different materials and garment designs, understanding these setup procedures is an important part of preparing the equipment for each order.
